Hot Wire Cutters: Nichrome wire maintains a steady temperature for precise cutting of foams, plastics, and polystyrene.
Ignition Systems: Acts as a bridgewire in electrical ignition systems, such as those used in fireworks and explosives.
Flame Testing: Used in laboratories to detect trace metals in flames due to its ability to withstand high temperatures.

Resistors: Utilized in precision resistors and electrical components because of its stable resistance across a wide temperature range.
Ceramic Supports: Wires are embedded within ceramic to provide internal support for clay sculptures during the firing process, preventing deformation.
